Randolph Matthews pushes the boundaries of World Music, fusing his UK experiences with those of disparate cultures around the globe. His passionate interactive live shows comprise of song, form and improvised motion through voice. Audiences are transported through haunting African melodies, delicate Maliesque guitar rhythms with a subtle Caribbean twist. Randolph presents a new genre: “Heart Songs and Future Folk”!

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a programme called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxNewSt, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxNewSt event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
